60 million Windows 8 OS licenses sold
Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 8, has sold 60 million licenses sold to date. This figure includes both upgrades and sales to original equipment manufacturers for new devices.
A fact that was reveal by Windows’ CFO and Marketing Director, Tami Reller, during CES 2013. Windows 8 was introduc in October 2012 with new features in the interface design, among others. The software company took a turn from its previous versions, opting for an interface that would adapt to both traditional computers and touch screens.
Windows 8 seems to be getting off the ground
